- Great teams are always looking for new ways to support their teammates, but the distance sometimes makes it harder to encourage, influence, and acknowledge hybrid teams. All of the best practices of motivating and rewarding team members apply to hybrid teams, too, but there's one distinction we can make about hybrid teams that clues us in to how to motivate these teams differently. The research organization Great Place to Work did a survey of 715 companies and assessed what makes remote workers as productive as possible and what they discovered was interesting. Camaraderie and positive atmosphere were the descriptors these employees used most to express why their company is a great place to work. Makes sense. Teammates in great workplaces believe their coworkers see them as whole people with family, hobbies, and passions that they bring to work each day, and that motivates them to do great work.
