- We've all been there. The only virtual attendee, the rest of your meeting partners nestled together around a conference room table, smiling back at one another. Regardless, here you are relegated to joining from the projector screen, or worse, as just a voice projecting from the little black box on the center of the conference room table. Being a virtual teammate on a hybrid team where some, but not all, of your teammates are scattered geographically can be really tough. Unless all attendees are 100% virtual, the format of the team meetings will generally favor the in-person attendees. We'll see conversation flow between our in-person colleagues, while our virtual attendees clamor to get a word in and struggle from not seeing their teammate's body language. Hybrid teams cannot afford to put up barriers between their teammates. In fact, hybrid teams will need to consistently be seeking to remove barriers.…
