Let's face it. No one likes to be micromanaged. It creates a sense that you aren't trusted or aren't good enough and leaves you feeling like you constantly have to justify your existence. High performing teams work hard at giving their people autonomy whilst creating a culture where employees feel valued, motivated, and empowered to contribute their best work. This leads to higher levels of engagement, productivity, and satisfaction, driving organizational success and growth. However, this doesn't mean a world without any guidance whatsoever. I'll make a sporting analogy. A high performing football team will be clear on the rules of the game and the team's strategy.
