For a light overview of the entire process, I can also recommend my course about getting started in magazine design. The LinkedIn Learning Library is full of other courses about layout and typography that can also be applied to your magazine design. Just as important as all that will be a trip to the magazine stand where you can fill your eyes and your mind with some of the best magazine design in the world. Find the ideas that speak to you and your project. Buy those magazines and study, study, study.
