Essential folder structure including the Home folder
- [Instructor] Before you store and organize your own files, it's important to understand the folder structure that already exists in Mac OS, so you can work within that organization. I'll open a Finder window, and I'll go to my main system drive by selecting Macintosh HD in the sidebar on the left. And if you don't see that listed here, just make sure you refer back to the first video in this chapter. I'll select that and this is the root level of my main storage drive. In this case, I see four folders. On your drive, you may see more, but you will at least see these four folders. Everything on your storage drive is inside of one of these folders. Now the library folder and the system folder are very easy. Most users have no reason to ever open these folders, and I include myself in this.
