What is the extension hub?
- [Instructor] Okay, I want to show you some exciting new options in SPSS. So I am currently in SPSS 29 for this demonstration and for the three all alternatives to ordinary least squares regression that I'm going to be showing you. Let me tell you where in the menus you'll find these. You want to go up to analyze, down to regression, and over to linear OLS alternatives. Now, what's new about this is that these three, ridge, lasso, and elastic net, are implemented through Python. So what you're going to have to do is take advantage of what are called extensions. Let me show you what I mean. Let's go over to ridge, the first one in the list. And it says that the linear ridge regression dialogue box is an extension procedure that requires the extension module. No problem, so we're going to go to the Extension Hub and notice that up here in the upper left hand corner it has LRR for linear ridge regression and it's…
