- [Instructor] So let's see it in action. We want to go back to our dataset and then notice, we still have this filter, okay? So we can go into the menus and remove the filter or we can actually delete it here. That also does the job. So now we're back to using all of our data. This is important because the selection was just for demonstration purposes. Ridge regression is going to choose its own 70%, so we wouldn't want to accidentally leave that on. Let's go up to the menus now. Remember, they're right in the same regression menu under linear OLS alternatives and we're going to do the first one, Ridge. Waste_tons is going to be our dependent. Here's the five variables down to covariates. And then notice here on the bottom right, it's referring to randomly assigning cases to partitions. It's doing something like what I demonstrated with the regular OLS regression. That will give you a little bit of flavor for the theory.…
