- [Instructor] In this video we're gonna talk about outliers, and the concept of influential points. In order to do so, we're gonna go in and launch the original MWBank dataset. Okay, here we are in the dataset. I'm gonna go to analyze, regression, linear. To keep in simple, I'm gonna run this with just two independent variables. My dependent is gonna be beginning salary, and my independent variables are gonna be education level and sex of employee. The outlier influential points diagnostics are found in the save sub-menu. Now this is an elaborate sub-menu, one of the most elaborate in all of SPSS perhaps. There are dozens of choices. In order to not be overwhelmed by this, I want you to think of these as falling into three categories, and not everything in this sub-menu is related to residuals and influential points.
