To get our technology working well, we need to be clear on the data that is being used when, where and how. And here in Lucidchart using a data flow diagram makes it so much clear. So on my new lucid chart page, I have the data flow shapes here for easy reference. So start with a circle and drag this over as your first process. And on our website, one thing we do is newsletter signups. So I enter that here. Just double-click the text and type newsletter sign up. Now, I leave the number in as it can come in handy later when you have lots of data flows, and so you start simple. What information comes in? I.E. what's starting this process?
