Texture gradients
- [Instructor] Here is a way we can use a gradient to apply texture to our type. This technique does require me to convert the type to outlines. Now because I want the gradient to start and stop in each of the letters, I'm also going to ungroup the result. Then I'll come to the appearance panel where I will change my fill color, and then add another fill. And to this top fill, I will apply a gradient. And you see that the gradient is beginning and ending within each of those letter shapes. I'll click on the opacity link to open up the transparency panel and change the blending mode of the gradient to multiply, so that we create an interaction between it and the color beneath. Then I'll come to the effect menu. And to texture, and choose grain. If I want to reset my menu to its defaults, I can hold down the command key, or the control key on Windows, and click on the cancel button that becomes default. I'm going to…
