Second only to drawing, type is the most important visual communicator in the field of design, and within the context of logo design, it's paramount to establishing well-crafted brand logos. In this movie, we'll take a look at both logotypes and monograms and see how we can customize letter forms to produce unique results that compliment a logo design. Now I'm going to first show you inspiration because sometimes you have some great happenstance come about, and I just ran into that locally. There's a real estate development that bought property that for the last hundred years has been used as a cannery, meaning they can fruit and vegetables on this location, but now it's going to be something completely new. I was approached by the one who's overseeing that development. And he asked me to brand this whole development they're putting together. So we went through name exploration and we came up with the name of the cannery to honor the legacy of that area. So it's never forgetting…
