- [Instructor] In this movie, we'll utilize our sketches to guide our vector-building efforts using shape tools and functionality to quickly create our brand mark designs. Let me show you how. I usually take my sketches and I place 'em into Adobe Illustrator. They're always TIFF images, and I select them and I adjust the opacity between 15 or 20%. And then, I just simply go ahead and lock the layer. And then, on a layer above it is where I'm going to do all my building. And you can see I've dropped some guides here. I also go to graphic styles, and these are the size of strokes that I use to build. I always build with magenta lines, and then I colorize and compose as I start moving forward and get it all fleshed out. So we're going to go with a one point line here. And let's go up to the polygon tool 'cause this is where we're going to start. We're going to build on this layer, and I'm going to go ahead and draw out the polygon tool like this.
