EVOC 20 PolySynth: Advanced principles
- [Narrator] We have a handful of other settings that we can really use to take our sound home with the EVOC 20. So I'd like to talk about the UV detection over here. Now, human speech consists of voiced and unvoiced content and there are two different types of sounds that the Vocoder will react to. One thing that we can do is we can actually use the UV detection to sort of fill in the blanks in some of these sounds. And what it'll do is allow us to use certain parts of the EVOC 20, the synthesis portion at least, to fill in some of those sounds. So let's go over to noise and I'm going to turn this all the way down and I'm going to play a cord and you're going to hear that there are some places where we lose sound for a moment. So you can hear that's kind of dropping for a second. If I start to push this up, you're going to hear that we get more noise in those sections and it's going to fill up the sound. Now we also have the ability to use the noise and the synthesis. And then we can…
