Installing KDE Plasma workspaces
- [Instructor] KDE was one of the first desktop environments for Linux. When KDE created version four, they drastically changed how it worked and it took years to get it right. Now KDE Plasma 5 Workspaces is arguably the most powerful Linux desktop and warrants a closer look. To get the name of the group to install, type into a terminal sudo, space, DNF, space, group, space, list, space, -V, and hit Enter. Enter you password if prompted. Now scroll up until you see Available Environment Groups. You should see a KDE Plasma Workspaces environment group which we'll install. To do so, type in sudo, space, dnf, space, group, space, install, space, kde-desktop-environment, and hit Enter. Say yes to any prompts. KDE Plasma Workspaces may take a few minutes to install depending on your network connection. Now that KD Plasma Workspaces is installed, I'm going to create a snapshot by pressing my host key and the letter…
