- [Instructor] Make it easy for recruiters to contact you and stay open to new opportunities with the Open Profile and Open to features. Start by going to the Me menu and choosing premium features. Then scroll to the open profile card and make sure it's switched on. With this enabled, anyone with a LinkedIn account, including recruiters or hiring managers, can easily contact you without running into restrictions or barriers, making you more easily reachable. You can also come back and toggle it off again at any time. Additionally, LinkedIn's Open to feature allows you to show recruiters and others that you're open to work opportunities. From your profile page, locate and click the Open to button and click finding a new job. Then customize your preferences. For example, share your desired job titles, workplaces, locations, start dates, and job types. For an extra layer of privacy, you can then choose who will be able to see that you're open to work, either all LinkedIn members or just people using LinkedIn Recruiter. Choosing LinkedIn Recruiter also hides your open to work status from recruiters at your current company.
