- [Instructor] Let's continue our look at the color mixer, but switch to luminance. Notice we can use the dropdown menu or these great controls here just to change. What we're going to do is quickly make adjustments. So by darkening or brightening an area, you see a shift. If you go too far, it looks unnatural, but slight shifts can be very powerful. Continuing in this case to darken the sky a little, and brighten up the clouds. Now if you see that and nothing is changing, that's because it's not picking up a color. So the clouds there don't actually have much of a cast. Here, they do. So you have to be mindful that if you get the no symbol, that means that it's not enough of a color detected to help you refine that. But dialing this in, I can really get the types of trees that I want with the proper exposure, and do the same on the rock here, very powerful. In a simpler image, you'll see the same thing at play.
