Designing GCP Solutions with Architecture Diagramming
- [Instructor] Whether you're working in DevOps or you're a developer or both, a lot of times you want to design an architecture that reflects either the upcoming state of a system or the current state or the desired state. There are a number of architecture design tools out there. I personally use tools that come from third-parties, like Lucidcharts, for example. However, there's a relatively new tool that's free. It's an integration with, I think it's called Excalidraw, and it's found at googlecloudcheatsheet.withgoogle.com/architecture, and if you bring this up, you can see you get reference architectures. And how this can be helpful for DevOps is I've often been called in as a consultant in situations where things are frankly messed up. And sometimes I need to have a picture of what would be a reference good state to kind of get from where we are now to where we might want to go. So an example from a real world is some…
