- [Instructor] So what you should know to take this course. Well, we're looking for a few basic skills. First, the basic understanding of public cloud-based systems such as Amazon, Google, and Microsoft Azure. We're also looking for a basic understanding of the concept of data and databases, how information is stored and processed. We're looking for a basic understanding of application development as well. This doesn't mean you need to be a coder, but you need to be familiar with how applications are built, deployed, and maintained. You need to understand some of the basics around security, how encryption works, identity access management, again, just the basics, not the details. Also, the core concept of governance or the ability to put guardrails around leveraging existing systems. Also, it helps to have a few business skills, understanding how we can apply this technology in certain business concepts to achieve a business benefit.
