- I'm Jim Ball, and I'd like to thank you for joining me for this look at LED and compact lighting. We covered a lot of ground, from identifying some of the basic terms to describe the technology behind LEDs. We categorized some of the different types of units, which we saw can come in all shapes and sizes. We went over some of the strong points of these lights and compared them to other, more established forms of lighting. We also looked at supporting accessories that help in using LEDs as efficiently and creatively as possible. Then I went over a few practical applications, so you can have a starting point in considering how to use LEDs on your future projects. My goal was to increase your comfort level with LED technology.
