- [Instructor] If you're used to using Linux, working in the Bash shell is probably pretty familiar to you. But if you're used to using the Windows Command Prompt or PowerShell, Bash syntax may be a little unfamiliar. And if you're accustomed to using Bash or another Linux shell, Windows syntax, and the way that PowerShell looks, may seem a little foreign. You don't have to have a deep understanding of either shell to use WSL, but because WSL bridges the two worlds, so to speak, it's good to be a little familiar with both Bash and PowerShell in case you need to work with one system or the other.
