The importance of the setting
- Up till now, we've been showing you some lighting technique in our studio in a completely controlled environment. But usually you're gonna find yourself shooting interviews and other things out in the real world, where you have a lot less control. Very often you have to shoot people in offices. Now we've got a giant office park to walk around here and find the perfect place to shoot. Now this hallway right here outside of our studio is actually quite nice. It's got a nice, gray, even color palette. The sun is going down over here, it's an overcast day. We have these frosted windows giving me a nice, soft light. I think it looks terrific just the way it is and we could absolutely shoot right here. The downside is, at any moment someone might come out of one of these offices with a cart full of donuts or something. And then, for me, doing this short stand-up, it's okay. But if it was someone doing an interview they really had to pay attention to, and they might not be able to repeat…
