- [Instructor] Contracts are a type of outlined agreement in SAP, they define the terms and time span of long term commitments between companies and customers. Let's create a contract using transaction code Va41. The first step is to select the contract type. We'll click the match code button to see our options. There are many types of contracts available. Contracts are typically structured by quantity of a material or by total value of the agreement. We want to create a quantity contract. So we'll double click CQ. Now we'll press continue. The first field we'll enter is our sold to party. We'll enter 1 7 1 0 0 0 0 2. Next, we'll enter a valid from date. Contracts are different from scheduling agreements in that there are no scheduled delivery dates.
