- [Instructor] PowerPoint has built-in tools to help you present more effectively. In this lesson, I'll show you how to highlight key points, navigate slides smoothly, and use helpful shortcuts to keep your audience engaged. Let's get started. When presenting in Slideshow mode, you can draw directly on your slides or use a laser pointer to guide attention. To access these tools, start your slideshow. We'll do that by clicking on Slideshow up in the ribbon and selecting From Beginning. Hover your cursor on the lower left hand side of the screen and you'll notice this toolbar. Click on the pen icon to activate the pen and laser pointer tools. The laser pointer allows you to hover your mouse and highlight certain elements. Click back on the laser pointer and pen icons and select Pen. Here, you can write additional things or even underline. Click back on the pen to use the highlighter.
