- Creating an accessible PowerPoint presentation isn't just about compliance, it's about ensuring that everyone, regardless of ability, can engage with your content. In fact, accessibility is now a legal requirement for government content under Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act. But beyond legal compliance, accessibility features make your presentations clearer, more effective, and usable by a wider audience. In this lesson, I'll show you how to make your presentations accessible using built-in PowerPoint tools and best practices. Let's start with PowerPoint's Accessibility Checker. This tool helps identify and fix common accessibility issues. To use it, go to the Review tab and select Check Accessibility. A pane opens up on the right, listing any issues and suggestions for fixing them.
