- [Instructor] When you're traveling to a new place, it's nice to have a map to orient yourself. Photoshop is a new place for lots of you, so in this movie, I'm going to give you a streamlined mental map to the Photoshop interface that will help you find your way around. There are lots of controls in Photoshop, but they break down into just four buckets for you to remember: tools, options, menus, and panels. First, there's a vertical toolbar over on the left. It contains the main tools that you'll use when you're working on an image, like tools for moving, selecting, cropping, and more, but that's not all. There are more tools hidden behind the ones that you can see on the face of the toolbar. If a tool has a little triangle, like most of them do now, pressing on that tool will open a flyout menu of related tools. To use a tool, just click on it, either in the toolbar or in the flyout menu, and that tool appears in the toolbar and is highlighted and ready to use. Now, you may not…
