Make a calendar from a database block
- [Instructor] Calendars are an essential component for managing projects. So naturally, you can make calendar blocks for your pages. One very important thing to understand about a calendar is that a calendar is just one specific view for a database block. At the bottom of my main page, I'm going to make a new block. I'll type the slash key, and then I'll just type in calendar to filter the list down. And I can see the option for a calendar view. And this is in the database category. So I'm going to select that. And since I'm making a new calendar, I do not have an existing set of data, so I'm going to choose the option for new database. I'm going to give this a name, I'll call it production calendar. So of course, this is a calendar, and we can treat it like a calendar, but you should understand that this is also a database just like we saw in the video on databases.
