- [Instructor] The Stretch tool allows you to extend or shorten elements by moving the end points and the vertices that lie within a fence. The Stretch tool can be found on the Home ribbon in the Manipulate group. In this lesson, you will learn about the Stretch tool. Continuing in learning.dgn, open the stretch elements model. To stretch the cyan colored object, select the stretch tool and place a fence around the right half of the object. Snap to the lower right corner point and move the cursor to the right. Press Enter to lock the cursor to the AccuDraw axis. With the focus in the AccuDraw dialogue, key in 44.4 minus 29.9 and accept with a data point. Reset to complete. Note that dimension is automatically updated as it is associated to the cyan object. In the next drawing, We will use the Stretch tool to move a window frame along a wall without changing its size, which is a typical use for this tool.…
