- [Instructor] Now it's time to check out some of the coolest stuff that Massive has to offer. These modes that we're about to talk about are the secret sauce on so many cool tracks that I've made and that I've heard. They're really fun to play with. Let's jump over to Harold saw here. I just want to hear what that sounds like in standard mode. (electronic music) Okay so that's a bit of a softer, saw. (electronic music) Okay, that's a nice change. (electronic music) Now let's jump over and let's take a listen to the formant mode. Now the formant mode is a lot of fun because what it does is it uncouples the formants from the pitch of the wave that you're playing. Now that being said, it is possible to make things sound out of tune if you abuse the formant knob. And sometimes that's preferable. but it's something to keep an eye on.
