Playback plugin
- [Instructor] The playback plugin is a software instrument that allows you to play any audio file back. This is how you can play backing tracks or stems during a performance, which is an easy and effective way to fill out your sound live. Each instance of the playback plugin will play one audio file at a time. You can use audio files in a variety of formats, including AIFF, wave, and CAF. You can also play audio files containing marker information, including files that you've exported from logic pro, and even Apple loops. The simplest way to create a playback plugin is to go into the channel strips area, create a software instrument, and just select it from the dropdown. You can also create one from an existing audio file by moving to the gear menu, doing import audio files, picking the file you want to load in. And there it is, all loaded up.
