Ranking work on boards
- [Instructor] Jira provides an easy way to order and prioritize items. On a board or in a backlog, drag an item above or below another item to determine ranking. In the example, I'm changing the position of the first item to below the second item. As you might expect, items at the top of the list are considered higher priority than items at the bottom. Ranking is a global concept. Items are ranked against other items, regardless of their Jira project, work type, or board, and ranking is not related to other standard fields, like original estimate, story points or priority, but you can use these concepts together to inform the prioritization process. An item only has one rank, even if it's included in multiple boards. The display order is based on the item's relation to other items.
