Transitioning issues
It's really important to keep issue status in sync with reality. In this example, the HR project has a very simple workflow of To Do, In Progress, and Done. The issue is currently in the To Do status. There are two transition buttons; Start Progress and Done. When you're ready to start work, move the issue forward in the workflow by clicking the "Start Progress" transition button. The issue is now in the In Progress status. If it didn't happen automatically, assign the issue to yourself, indicating that you're working on it. When the work is complete, click the "Done" button to transition the issue to its final workflow status. An overlay screen may appear during the transition. Sometimes the screen has required fields. If I did work on this issue, I'd select a resolution of Done. A resolution is the reason why or how an issue is complete. Use this field to indicate work wasn't done, the issue is invalid, or the issue is a dupe of another issue. Finally, click the form submission…
