In addition to application types, there are Jira deployment types, as well. We talked about this briefly in the intro lesson. This course is for Cloud users, but it's important to know that Server and Data Center versions also exist. Now why should you care? Well, companies often add additional applications or change deployment types over the years. Or maybe you change jobs and you find that your new company has one of the other types. The Server and Data Center versions look different, have different features, and use different terminology. Here's a quick comparison of an issue in Jira Cloud versus Server or Data Center. As you can see, the look and feel is different. Even in Cloud, your application may have different colors and customizations than mine. Even if there are small differences, the concepts are the same.
