Hello World

Hello World

- [Instructor] So far we only executed Groovy scripts, but what about classes that have to be compiled? We'll want to address this concern in an IDE. For demonstration purposes we'll use IntelliJ IDEA community edition which has Groovy support built in. For the sake of time I won't be covering the installation process. I recommend you check out the link in the installation instructions on my screen. With IntelliJ now installed we'll start by creating a new project by clicking on the option create new project. On the left-hand side you will see an option for Groovy. Let's click on it and set up the reference to the Groovy library if you haven't done so already. Simply press the create button and point it to the Groovy installation directory. IntelliJ will automatically determine the version of Groovy. Press the next button and enter the project name. We will pick hello world. Select the project location of your liking…
