Collaborate on a folder
- [Narrator] When you need to collaborate on a project with coworkers or repeatedly exchange files with somebody, Dropbox features a nifty shared folder feature to make your life easier. This is different than sharing a public read-only link to a file or folder that you can share with anyone. You learned about this in an earlier movie. The method we'll review in this movie lets you invite other Dropbox users to collaborate on the contents of a folder. Collaborators can copy, delete, edit, move, and rename files in the folder, and even add files of their own to the folder. All these changes are continuously synced via Dropbox to all the collaborators. Once set up, this works much like everyone is in the same office working off a single file server. But note, all users in this workflow must have Dropbox accounts. To begin, right click on a folder in your Dropbox folder, and then choose Share, and type the email addresses…
