- If machines and systems can now learn for themselves, and can adapt the logic on their own, then you may be wondering what is their to write requirements for. Well many of the requirements you've worked on are full of logic, rules and data entry patterns, that have needed to be detailed out for the development team. The requirements in a digital era might seem like a different animal, and in many ways it is. There are also a lot of similarities. In a digital transformation we will be using many of the same skills you have always used, with a slightly different lens. To start, we need to focus our thoughts on our role as a facilitator of business outcomes, and less as a documenter. Our role has always been to facilitate business outcomes, but traditionally we've done this through documents and outputs, and many teams have lost sight of the true business outcomes guiding them.
