Managing creative flow with the wider group
Creative flow is about achieving the mental space for open thinking. However, not everyone gets there in the same way, and it can be particularly challenging when you're collaborating with others like users or stakeholders who may not be comfortable with ambiguity. Facilitation tools are often used to help those folks participate in this creative flow. Creative flow is an active yet tranquil state of mind that allows for new idea generation, provocative thinking, and have the confidence to offer an untested or unusual idea. Timeboxing is one of the primary facilitation strategies we use to support getting the team or a group of collaborators into flow. This technique uses time-limited activities that build from small focused questions to bigger creative moments. It's often supported by worksheets and can be done in person or online.
