I've been talking about design thinking for a while. Let's turn that eye on ourselves now. I'd like you to think of a group which you are a part of. For many of us, it might be at work, but it could also be in your community, a faith group, a school, or where you volunteer. Pick a group which is working together on a shared goal. It might be a product or service, it might be a challenge in your community, or even something within your family. Let's think about how much a design-thinking mindset this team has. Over the next week, make a note of how your team approaches hard questions. Is there an attitude of optimism about the problem? Are many perspectives being brought into the process? Is the team asking what if? Is everybody on the team collaborating? Is experimentation a part of how you work? Is the overall mindset, experience, and realization focused? Then ask yourself what you feel the greatest strengths and opportunities are for the team. How might you improve one or develop…
