Complex cameras

- There's another class of cameras I'll call complex cameras. This category has changed the most in recent years. There is such a wide range of features available to cameras in this class that technically there should be a third category between simple and complex. However, I'm including them in this category because of their on-set and post-production implications, not just the price of the camera itself. If you choose one of these cameras, you should be clear that depending on how you use it, there may be hidden downstream costs involved that may not be reflected in the production budget but which will definitely show up in the post budget. These cameras tend to be larger and more expensive. They offer you more control and wider lens options than the simple cameras. They can output a picture that can be displayed on a standard HD monitor.
