Overview of the Canvas gradebook
- [Instructor] The grade book within Canvas is a powerful way to give students feedback. Through the rest of this chapter we'll explore some of the grading tools built into Canvas including speed grader, and rubrics. To start, let's take a look at the Canvas grade book. From the course navigation bar, I'm going to go down to grades and I'll select this. And this is the grade book. Now there's a couple things to notice away. First of all, on the left our students are automatically populated into the grade book. So once you publish your course your students are automatically put here into the grade book and that saves you time. Now at the top, you'll notice that we already have a couple of assignments in here. The genetics video reflection and genetics quiz number one. Now I didn't manually enter these in here but they were entered in as we created them in this course. So as you can see, Canvas is really intuitive.…
