- [Instructor] This course is an introduction to Python scripting for GIS professionals who have never coded before. It's not intended to be a course for Python developers to learn GIS concepts. The course starts by explaining basic object oriented scripting and then dives into the ArcGIS Python libraries. In it, we use a lot of terminology and concepts from ArcGIS Pro, so the course assumes you're already familiar with that. A couple of the videos mentioned web mapping concepts, and for those videos, you'll need to be familiar with ArcGIS web mapping, either in ArcGIS Online, or Portal for ArcGIS. Okay, so now that we've level set a bit, let's talk about how to use the exercise files.
