Create powerful databases with Airtable
- [Scott] Take a moment and think about the projects that you normally manage with programs like Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets. Have you ever wished that you could add more features and functionality to your spreadsheets, but you don't need all the complexity of a high-end database system like FileMaker? Then Airtable might be the perfect solution for you. Airtable is a combination of spreadsheet and database. So you can use it to create your own custom apps that are specifically designed to fit the needs of you and your team. Airtable is fast, powerful, easy to learn and fun to use, and you can use it to create almost any sort of business system that you can imagine. For example, project management, event planning, product launches, CRM systems, and almost anything else that you can think of. Hi there, my name is Scott Rose, and I'm a professional Airtable developer. I've been creating databases for businesses ever since I was 12 years old when I created the computer system that ran the local video store in my neighborhood. As I grew older, I kept diving deeper and deeper into technology. For six years, I traveled around the country with Steve Jobs and the Apple executives, speaking onstage at all of Apple's major events, and I continued building database systems for businesses. For almost 30 years now, I've been a certified FileMaker developer, and now I create professional database systems in both FileMaker and Airtable. In this course, I'll walk you through the basics of creating your very own working Airtable system from start to finish. We'll cover everything you need to know, such as creating tables and fields, organizing and summarizing your data, and even how to create calendars and web forms. When you're finished with this course, you'll be able to immediately put Airtable to use in your own business. I invite you to join me on this Airtable journey. Let's get started.
