- Okay, so a lot of what you can do with text in Photoshop and Illustrator is also possible in After Effects. But what about animating type? Although the particular design we're looking at doesn't really call for animating individual words and characters, let's take a look at a little bit of what's possible with animation before matching the motion of this text to the shot. Having created text on a path, we have options for how to animate this text. In another context, I might go down here into the Path Options and, for example, move the margin so that I can move it right along the path. I'm going to undo that. That's not what I want in this case. Another cool piece of text animation for a different context would be to track it. That would happen here in the Character panel. And you can actually animate the tracking, keyframe that. I don't want to do that either. I want this text to look like it's embedded in these bricks.…
