- [Instructor] Text is the single most important item in a user interface because it communicates directly with the user in a more concise manner than a photo or an icon. In fact, text is how you communicate directly with the user. Everything else visually supports the intent. This means proper font choice is the key to your product's design, and this choice can't be an afterthought. It has a major impact on the readability and legibility of the text in your project. In this exercise, we're going to take a look at how text works. So to get yourself started, open the text file found in your chapter download. When it opens, you'll see there are a couple of lines of text here, and what we have here is a headline and some body text. And what we're going to do is to set their styles and make them available to everybody because it is the rare project that has no defined textiles. I'm using two here, but when it comes to web…
