- Now it's time to wrap up the meeting by reviewing everyone's action items. This is how we ensure the meeting was a productive use of time, by helping people follow through on their commitments. Usually at this point, the facilitator will turn the time over to the note taker and ask them for a summary of the commitments. The note taker then summarizes each person's commitments using who, what, and when. Who made the commitment, what they committed to do, and when they committed to accomplish it. Keep it simple and brief. It's enough to say, "Alex committed to delivering the file to Lisa by Tuesday afternoon." Who, what, and when. As the note taker reads the list, each attendee should pay close attention and make sure they agreed to the commitments.
