- The emergence of artificial intelligence is one of the biggest changes we've seen in professional settings in decades, and nobody I know speaks with confidence about what the future of AI holds, but there will likely be three overarching areas of interest that leaders should keep in mind. First, leaders must accept that they are now leading in an AI context. It's now part of a leader's job to take this seriously, regardless of your industry. One of my clients, for example, is the CEO of a billion-dollar construction company. He said recently that he doubts AI is going to change the way people have been pouring concrete for the past 100 years. But his company's leaders are still keeping an eye on the way AI can assist them in the corporate office. He understands that it's his responsibility to know about AI's strengths to augment existing roles and its limitations for his unique context.
