Your AI system has analyzed six months worth of sales data and is recommending that you discontinue a product line. The numbers are clear, but you know the team behind that product. You know the customer relationships and you know what the market looked like 18 months ago. So what do you do? This is the new leadership reality. More and more decisions will arrive with an AI recommendation already attached. The real question is what the data can't see and whether you can. One of the most critical capabilities for leaders in a data-rich and AI-enabled world is knowing when analysis is enough and when something else, experience, ethics, or context has to take over. Processing data isn't the hard part. What we need is human-in-the-loop leadership, where you use AI to think better than you lead.
