- So you have an ethics situation, right? I guess one of the things you need to look at is, is this an ethics issue or is this an ethics crisis? And the real easy, fundamental way to look a look at this is how many people is this going to affect? Now, this may be just internal to your company. If it's a $2,000 issue, that's probably not going to affect a lot of people in your company. If it's a $20 million issue and a $40 million company, everybody in the company is now affected by this potentially, right? So that's a crisis. So it depends upon the magnitude of people it's going to affect internal company. And obviously if you're going to affect more than a few people external to the company, and that becomes a matter of public record, you have to consider that as well and maybe treat it as a crisis.
