- Saying oh good, I've got four women on the team and people of different color, whatever the case may be, so you tick the box and you think you're done, is actually, in my mind, borderline unethical if that's where you stop. So, inclusion looks like this person or people that are coming from different backgrounds, right, are they part of your discussions? Do you make them part of your discussions? Do you have them at after-work or out-of-work functions as well as in-work functions? Are you listening to what it is that they're saying and trying to incorporate that into what it is that you're doing? Having them there to say you have them there, that you can tick a box, is almost unethical in that you're doing something because you have to do it, but you're not really taking advantage of the whole purpose of what it was supposed to bring to your organization.
