Cutting an interlocking form

- This project is a classic example of a type of structure called a waffle. Waffles are assembly's or projects with interlocking cross-sections, forming a volume from preselected boundary lines. Waffles can be solid, where each slice represents a full cross-section of the volume, or boundary, where they have a limited thickness from the primary outline. I've generated this model with Fusion 360 and translated that form with an add in, called Slicer. I won't go into how to manipulate these files, but I highly recommend checking out accessible 3D software to make some art. This form is designed with 12 slices that form a rotational stack, and eight identical horizontal slices. The identical slices intersect around the rotational or central access. Let's look at the form, slide by slide, with the parts in a flat nest. With simple forms, it's not necessary to mark your parts, but more complicated waffles call for a small numbering system.
