"Tell me about your experience at company X"

- Another common question you'll get on your resume is, tell me about your experience at so-and-so company, role, or organization. Don't let this seemingly innocent open-ended question get you. The interviewers are once again looking for your ability to summarize a wealth of information into a digestible short form. Too often do candidates get lost in the weeds here and ramble on. You can avoid this problem by sticking to a methodical three-step framework that's proven to be effective. Let's get into it. Step one, provide a one-sentence overview of your experience, usually consisting of your title and number of years in the company, role, or organization. For example, "I worked at Company X for three years after university, serving as a product manager throughout."
